Meet Stefany

My name is Stefany Lopez, and my journey into story telling didn’t begin in a place of comfort. They say that travel changes your location, but for me, travel restored my life. I was born in Honduras and raised in New Jersey. I became a mother at 16; alone in a new country, learning how to survive while dreaming of more. Through seasons marked by abuse, single motherhood, trauma, and reinvention, I discovered the quiet power of rewriting your story. I went from restaurant shifts to international flights, from silence to storytelling, from survival to building something meant to serve others. I never stopped walking! I refused to let my circumstances define my destination. I went on to graduate college Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Hospitality Management, – in my second language. Proving to myself and to my children that no matter how dark the valley looks, you can overcome absolutely anything when you trust the path laid out for you. I rebuilt myself, more than once, from the ground up. Not because I had every advantage, but because I had faith. A deep, unshakeable belief that even when I couldn’t see a way forward, God could. And that has never failed me. Travel entered my life not as a luxury but as a lifeline.

About LifeThroughMyEyes

As a meaningful travel storyteller, I’ve learned that the world isn’t just something we see but something we feel, remember and grow through. There’s something extraordinary about seeing the world not just through your own lens, but through experiences that shape you, challenge you, and remind you of your strength. LifeThroughMyEyes is more than a blog. It’s the heart of something bigger, a collection of purpose-driven brands built to inspire healing, creativity, and meaningful action. Each brand reflects a different kind of transformation: travel that shifts your soul, words that offer refuge, designs that stir something deeper, and outreach that uplifts the forgotten. And behind it all is a story of resilience.

But five years ago, something shifted. I began to explore the world not to escape my life, but to find my way back to it. In the midst of battling deep depression, I took a leap into the world, and what the world gave me in return changed everything. That is when my true healing began. Travel became my sanctuary. Every country I stepped into, every unfamiliar street I walked, and every culture that welcomed me showed me a piece of who I was meant to be. I realized that our pain is never wasted if our testimony can become a beacon of hope for someone else.

I went to Kenya carrying one of the heaviest seasons of my life, a depression so deep I could barely see past it. And then I stood in the middle of something ancient. I watched people live in complete harmony with nature, with animals, with each other, no pretense, no excess, no noise. Just life, in its most honest and humbling form. And something in me broke open in the best possible way. I realized that joy doesn’t live in what you have. It lives in how present you are to what surrounds you.

Then came Jordan. Walking through a culture completely different from my own, I discovered something unexpected: freedom. No one cared about brands or appearances. Every woman dressed the same. No one looked at me with anything other than dignity and respect. For the first time in a long time, I wasn’t performing for anyone. I was just there. And it was enough. Those two trips didn’t just change my perspective. They saved something in me.

I share pieces of my story not for sympathy, but for the person who needs to know that it’s possible. That you can come from hard places and build beautiful things. That your pain does not define your destination. That no matter where you are right now you are not stuck there.

As I began exploring new places, I found myself drawn to destinations outside the typical tourist routes. The more I traveled, the more I realized how much I wanted to share these experiences with others. That’s how LifeThroughMyEyes was born. A space dedicated to shifting the way we see the world and ourselves. Through my lens, I’ve witnessed the beauty of diversity, the truth in broken places, and the quiet magic found in unfamiliar cultures. I believe that while our differences shape us, they also connect us in deeply human ways. This blog isn’t just a collection of stories it’s a platform to share the lessons I’ve lived, the beauty I’ve seen, and the growth I continue to walk through to help you plan your own path with confidence and intention, just like a meaningful travel storyteller would. It’s where I offer insights, travel tips, real-life advice, and creative inspiration to help you plan your own path with confidence and intention.

Photography is another part of that story. Photography became my ticket back to the moments that changed me. A way to immortalize a feeling that would otherwise be forgotten. As a meaningful travel storyteller, whether I’m behind the lens capturing a moment, or behind the screen designing a product, my goal is always the same: to preserve the essence of what’s real, what matters, what lasts. Today, LifeThroughMyEyes is home to four branches, each one born from personal experience and created to help others: A travel agency for journeys that mean something. A creative studio where faith and design live side by side. A media brand that turns storytelling into impact. And a foundation built to support those often left behind. Whether you’re looking for a travel planner, a shift in perspective, a deeper sense of purpose, or a place to feel seen you’ll find something here. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real. We’re not just here to impress, we’re here to impact. Welcome to LifeThroughMyEyes. Let’s see the world and ourselves differently.

Our Mission Statement

At LifeThroughMyEyes, our mission is to create spaces that restore, inspire, and empower through storytelling, travel, creativity, and compassion. We believe in the kind of transformation that doesn’t just change your location, but your perspective; something only a meaningful travel storyteller can capture in both words and visuals. That healing begins with visibility. That travel can be purposeful. That creativity can spark change. That helping others is not a task, it’s a calling. Across every brand, we serve people navigating real life whether it’s a single mom trying to rebuild, a family planning their first big trip, a survivor searching for hope, or someone simply seeking to live with more intention. We exist to remind them: You’re not alone. You matter. And your next chapter can still be your most beautiful one.
